TNPSC Results Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has had a glorious past of 75 years. During 1923, the Lee Commission had recommended setting up of a Central Public Service Commission in India thus came into being under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929.Madras Presidency had the unique honour, of being the only province.
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission shortly called as TNPSC was established with the objective of entrusting the responsibility of appointing people to different services at the Tamil Nadu Government inclusive of Ministerial, subordinate and state services. The TNPSC selects eligible candidates for different Government posts through unique selection process consisting of written and/or oral tests that varies from service to service.

Job Profile:
Tamilnadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Commissioner.
No. of posts: 28
Pay Scale –  Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5400
Eligibility:
Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 21 yrs and the maximum age limit is 36 yrs. Maximum age limit relaxation will be offered to candidates falling under any of the categories like DC/MBC, BCM, SC, ST, SC(A), BC(OCM), DC/MBC and needy widows belonging to any caste. For other category candidates the maximum age limit is 31 yrs.
Educational Qualification – Degree in both Commerce and law with Diploma in taxation laws is the first preference. Degree in both Commerce and/or Law with/without diploma in taxation laws are given next preference. TNPSC has also specified certain physical qualification requirement for this post.
Selection Process:
TNPSC will be selecting the candidates for the post of Assistant Commission through first round of examination, main examination (written) and interview. For complete details about the selection process, refer the website www.tnpsc.gov.in.
